Jacques Méchin (1890-1969) Herry (Frankrijk) - Brussel was een schilder en aquarellist uit Frankrijk welke zich in België vestigde.
Hij maakte in de jaren '20 aquarellen ,maar begon vanaf 1941, aangemoedigd door zijn vrienden Clesse en Laudy, intensief met olieverf te schilderen.
Zijn voorkeur ging uit naar landschappen van de streek van Sint-Anna -Pede , Grimbergen maar tevens Bretagne, Normandië en de Loirestreek .
Soms schilderde hij ook bloemen en stillevens .
Jacques Méchin was lid van de kring "L'effort" .

Hij staat vermeld in BAS III, Piron, Arto en artprice
