Een schitterend marine schilderij van de bekende kunstenaar Jan Bevort (1917-1996). Met een prachtige lijst. Gesigneerd links onder. Afmetingen met lijst: 52 cm. x 42 cm. Paneelmaat: 38,5 cm. x 28,5 cm. Conditie: zeer goed. Met een handgesigneerde brochure van Jan Bevort. Het schilderij wordt verzekerd verzonden. Afhalen e/o bezichtiging is mogelijk.

Bevort volgde zijn opleiding bij Chris Agterberg en G. Nijenhuis in Utrecht. Hij woonde en werkte in Noord Holland, vlak bij de duinen, waar hij tot op zeer hoge leeftijd met Spartaanse discipline werkte. Ook maakte hij vele reizen door Europa en de V.S. en was hij lid van de International Organisation of free art. Bevort vestigde zich rond 1960 in het Noord-Hollandse Schoorl en staat daarom bekend als "de Schoorlse schilder". Hij overleed hier op 31 januari 1996. Hij heeft exposities gehad in Europa en Amerika. Hij was leermeester van bekende schilders als Gerard Ernens en Peter Brouwer.
