Jan Michielsen (Breda, July 8, 1939 – ibid., February 9, 2010) was a Dutch graphic artist and painter.
Jan Michielsen studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Sint-Joost. He also taught there until 1980. He lived and worked on the Havermarkt and in the Ginneken. In 1965 he received the Sint Joostpenning.
Michielsen painted realistic paintings with the atmosphere of the Dutch Masters from the Golden Age, often referring to Rembrandt.[1] He painted still lifes, among other things.
