Jan Michielsen (Breda, 8 July 1939 – ibid., 9 February 2010) was a Dutch graphic artist and painter.
Jan Michielsen studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sint-Joost, where he also taught until 1980. He lived and worked on the Havermarkt and in the Ginneken district. In 1965, he received the Sint Joost Medal.
Michielsen painted realistic paintings with the atmosphere of the Dutch Masters of the Golden Age, often referring to Rembrandt.[1] He painted still lifes, among other things.
