Deze ets is afkomstig uit ' het Boek Elja', een serie van 15 etsen opgedragen aan Elja Julien die Montyn in 1964 ontmoette en waarmee hij in Salernes ging wonen. In deze etsen uit 1964 schrijft hij voor het eerst op de etsplaat en kleurt hij rechtstreeks op de plaat in. Zie ook 'Jan Montyn - het grafisch werk' van Frans Duister, pagina 27 en 28. De ets is gesigneerd en genummerd '4/10 (eigen druk)'.
Aanbieder van dit werk leerde Montyn eind jaren '90 in Thailand kennen en verwierf deze ets rechtstreeks van de kunstenaar in Amsterdam.
De ets verkeert in werkelijk uitstekende conditie en werd passend ingelijst. Format 68x56 cm, de afbeelding meet 52x37 cm
