- Jan Sirks (Rotterdam, February 23, 1885 – Zeist, March 11, 1938) was a Dutch painter, draftsman, and graphic artist who specialized in painting, watercoloring, drawing, and etching the Rotterdam harbors, animals, cityscapes, and landscapes. He worked in a romantic realist style. He also created cityscapes with canals and buildings in Utrecht and Amsterdam. Sirks worked for five years as a civil servant for the railways. He was a self-taught artist and co-founder of the Rotterdam artist group "De Branding." In 1917, he exhibited three of his paintings at the first exhibition of "De Sphinx" in the upper rooms of De Harmonie on Breestraat in Leiden.
His works are in various public collections, including the Rotterdam City Archives, the Utrecht Archives and the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
