Jan van Goethem (Den Bosch 1930)
Environmental artist, collagist, sculptor, painter and draftsman. His art is largely based on geometric lines and structures, and he is therefore active in visual design in architecture. For example, he is known for art installations in and on residential areas in Amsterdam.
For Van Goethem, visual art and architecture are about design and construction, about creating boundaries and making connections.
