Toutain, both a sculptor and painter, has a very individual style. His figures are designed as if they are overflowing with humanity, childish naivety and benevolence. His performances, both on canvas and in bronze, are recognizable and have a certain nostalgic warmth.
The work was purchased by the previous owner at Cafmeyer Gallery in Knokke-Heist in 2003. The original purchase invoice and a certificate of authenticity are still available. The work has two titles. The purchase invoice refers to Joueur de flûte , the certificate speaks of Chanson d'amour .
The work is made in an edition of 8 copies, this is copy number 5. The statue stands on a bronze base, which is placed separately on a concrete base.

Pay attention! Due to the exceptional weight/size, the item can only be delivered by courier. Inquire about the possibilities. Several physically strong persons must be present at the delivery address. The work can be picked up at our office, but only if you can lift it yourself in the car (3/4 man needed). Art auction cannot assist with this.
