Precise, immediately recognizable work by the German artist Friedrich Meckseper, who died in 2019. He was interested in technology all his life and he was influenced by Leonardo da Vinci, among others. The mechanical ammonite is a frequently recurring element in his art.
Aquatint etching on Rives paper, signed in pencil, dated ('84) and numbered (69/100). In very good condition; really the only thing that can be said about the work are some creases in the white margin at the bottom. Framed with passe-partout, the work is excellent.
