Jo Lodeizen was van oorsprong onderwijzer en begon op latere leeftijd met het schilderen van landschappen, stillevens met boeken en figuren. Zijn leermeester was H.P. Bremmer. Via deze schilder-kunstpedagoog werd zijn werk aangekocht door o.a. Hélène Kröller-Müller. Musea: o.a. Museum Kröller-Müller in Otterlo.
