JOCHEN KUBLIK (* 1962 -)
De schilder en tekenaar Jochen Kublik werd geboren in Bottrop in 1962. Hij studeerde af aan de middelbare school in Oelde / Westfalen en studeerde vervolgens aan de University of Applied Sciences for Design in Münster. Studiereizen die hij ondernam, brachten hem naar Italië, vooral naar Toscane. De Aldegrever Society in Münster kende hem in 1988 een beurs toe om in Oslo te werken. Verdere beurzen volgden. In 2000 werkte hij als onderzoeksassistent aan de University of Applied Sciences for Design in Münster. Jochen Kublik combineert in zijn werk realistische, gedetailleerde kleurentekeningen met surrealistische motieven. Stillevenelementen die doen denken aan plantenportretten uit vroegere tijdperken vormen een synthese met boeken of huizen Droomwerelden tussen magie en poëzie ontstaan en stimuleren de kijker om de voorstelling diepgaand te onderzoeken. Kublik kan terugkijken op een aantal tentoonstellingen, tot nu toe zijn er vier boeken over zijn werk verschenen.
