Autodidact Manfred Bofinger (DDR; 1941 - 2006) was vooral succesvol als graficus, cartoonist en illustrator van jeugdliteratuur. Deze houtskooltekening uit zijn jonge jaren is van een geheel andere orde. Met weinig middelen wordt de dramatiek van de kampgevangene vaardig neergezet.

De tekening zelf is voorzien van een monogram (onder passe-partout, zie foto), het oorspronkelijk passe-partout is nogmaals gesigneerd. De tekening is verdiept ingelijst (niet goed zichtbaar op de foto).

Ondanks een deugdelijke verpakking is er bij verzending altijd risico op glasbreuk. Afhalen (Utrecht; Transwijk of Centrum) geniet dan ook de voorkeur.
