Mooi geschilderd panorama ten noorden van Bandung (Java, Indonesië) door Omar Basalmah (Indonesische school). Olieverf op doek, gesigneerd en gedateerd (1975). Bijzonder formaat, in zeer goede staat.
Afmetingen: 98cm x 24cm (doek)
Werk moet bij aankoop worden opgehaald in Diemen vanwege formaat en kwetsbaarheid. Brengen rondom Amsterdam voor benzine vergoeding is eventueel mogelijk.

Omar Basalmah (1912-1985) werd geboren te Bandung. Hij werd beïnvloed door onder meer de schilder Ernest Dezentjé en werkte samen met Adrianus Wilhelmus (Arie) Smit.
Basalmah is een van de schilders die gerekend kan worden tot de Indische school. Deze Indonesische kunststroming ontstond gedurende de periode van de Nederlandse bezetting en werd door schilders als Basalmah gecontinueerd na de Onafhankelijkheid.
