Karl Otto Bachmann, Switzerland (1915 - 1996) was a painter and graphic artist known for his depictions of witches, harlequins and courtesans in the landscape. In this work scenes are full of erotic and theatrical symbolism. Born in 1915 in Lucerne, Switzerland, the artist spent his early adulthood traveling through Europe with gypsies before settling in Ascona, Switzerland. After the Second World War he devoted himself entirely to his painting career. Bachmann died in 1996 in Losone, Switzerland.
The whole is in very neat condition and will be packaged and shipped with great care.
