Patty Harpenau - Screen printing, fantasy figures, very colorful

Patty Harpenau is a creative jack-of-all-trades. She is a visual artist, creativity trainer and personal coach. She was born in 1959 in Amsterdam South. She graduated from the Amsterdam Lyceum and completed her art education at the Betzahel Art Academy in Israel. She exhibited in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and returned to the Netherlands where her international career began. She started with an exhibition at the Hilton Hotel, after which she quickly gained fame and exhibitions followed at home and abroad.
Two years later, a dream came true for her and she opened her first exhibition in the heart of the art world, the Spiegelstraat in Amsterdam. In the same year, Harpenau also opened an exhibition in Atlanta (USA). De Telegraaf caught her eye and devoted a large article to her in a weekend supplement under the title: welfare mother paints herself rich. The effect of this publication was not long in coming. Months later, Harpenau was the subject of numerous articles and a guest on various television talk shows. “From that day,” she says, “my life changed. What I never thought possible happened.”
