Mike the Headless Chicken (aka Miracle Mike) was een beroemde kip die erin slaagde om 18 maanden te overleven nadat zijn hoofd was afgesneden. De kip werd getoond aan het publiek met een afgehakt hoofd ernaast, wat ook het geval is in de foto van Paul Blanca. Mike werd destijds gefotografeerd voor Time en Life Magazine.
