Raymond Pettibon (born 1957, Tucson, Arizona) is an influential American artist known primarily for his distinctive combination of text and image. His works are characterized by raw, expressive lines and an often subversive, socially critical stance. Pettibon rose to fame in the 1980s through his close ties to the Californian punk scene: He designed record covers, concert posters, and flyers for bands such as Black Flag and Sonic Youth.

Today, Pettibon's works are included in major collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Modern in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. His limited-edition, signed album cover art, as presented here, is among the most sought-after items for collectors of contemporary art and music history.
