IJzerplastiek van de bekende en veelzijdige Utrechtse kunstenaar Rien Goené uit de jaren 60.
Een kunstenaar die een grote bijdrage heeft geleverd aan het Utrechtse kunstklimaat van na de Tweede Wereldoorlog is ongetwijfeld Rien Goené. De in Utrecht geboren en getogen kunstenaar experimenteerde al in de jaren vijftig met abstracte sculpturen. Met zijn sculpturen schudt hij de brave Utrechtse kunstwereld van die tijd hard wakker. De experimentele kunst heeft na Amsterdam, Rotterdam en Den Haag ook Utrecht bereikt.
