Een ontzettend ruw werk van Rik van Iersel uit 1989.
Het werk is gemaakt in zijn atelier/kantoorpand en was een onderdeel van de versieringen van een van de feestjes aldaar. Het werk zit vol vlekken, scheuren en vouwen.
Afmetingen zijn circa 75 x 70 cm.

Het werk doet cobra achting aan en doet denken aan de werken op papier van Lucebert, Brood en Appel.
Geboren in Maastricht. Woont en werkt in Eindhoven. Autodidact. Hij heeft een reeks exposities achter zich, waarbij telkens eigenzinnige catalogi verschenen. Van Iersel is zeer nieuwsgierig naar materialen, naar media en naar het leven zelf. Als achttienjarige ontwerpt hij affiches voor popconcerten van de Effenaar. Hij tekent strips, drumt in Der Junge Hund en maakt zijn eerste grote kleurrijke expressionistische schilderijen die meteen tot een solo-expositie bij Galerie Willy Schoots leiden. In de jaren die volgen exposeert Rik van Iersel in Amsterdam, Berlijn, Hamburg, New York en San Francisco
