Special cabinet, made of plywood covered with aluminum, by designer Ron Arad. Ara designed his RTW or Reinventing the Wheel for the Dutch design concept Hidden in 2000. The design is derived from a larger version that he made in his own studio, with the intention of bringing the smaller version into production for the general public. In the end it didn't happen: only a small edition of 25 copies was produced before the company went bankrupt. Arad developed a technique for his RTW in which the cabinet consists of an outer wheel and an inner wheel, which can move independently of each other. This mechanism keeps the inside of the case upright while the outside wheel rolls. Arad's design is included in the collection of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, among other things, and is often collected by design enthusiasts. A real eye-catcher!
