Opleiding: De academie voor kunst en industrie in Enschede en Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Parijs. Was docent aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie te Amsterdam. Woonde en werkte in Amsterdam.
Het werk van Ronald Abram valt onder de noemer ?op art?. Kunst die met illusie of optisch bedrog, het waarnemingsproces misleidt. Ronald Abram maakte zich ook sterk voor de kunststijl ?nieuwe figuratie?. Een stijl waarbij een herkenbare voorstelling niet werd geschuwd, in tegenstelling tot wat in die tijd gangbaar was in de hedendaagse kunst. Er word in de nieuwe figuratie echter niet teruggegrepen naar het klassieke perspectief en een natuurgetrouwe weergave van de werkelijkheid.
Als 7-jarig jongentje kwam Ronald Abram als wees uit het concentratiekamp uit Bergen Belsen. Hij heeft zijn herinneringen aan het kamp jaren later in Frankrijk, omgezet in grootse expressieve tekeningen. Er zijn verschillende werken van Ronald Abram te vinden in de collectie van het Joods Historisch Museum te Amsterdam.
