The work captivates with its intense color effect : a deep black is framed by a radiant cobalt blue , which blends inward in subtle transitions with fine pigment application. The composition creates a strong visual presence and meditative depth – typical of Geiger's use of color as a medium of sensory experience.

The work is professionally framed in a custom-made wooden frame, handcrafted in the Netherlands. It is finished with Plexiglas® Optical HC, which offers UV protection, scratch resistance, and minimal reflection.

Rupprecht Geiger (1908–2009) is one of the most important representatives of abstract art in Germany after 1945. He became known primarily for his powerful color compositions, especially his iconic use of red and fluorescent colors. As a co-founder of the avant-garde artist group ZEN 49, Geiger strove for a spiritual, non-objective form of expression through pure color surfaces and reduced forms.
His work moves between geometric abstraction and color theory – often with an intense, atmospheric effect achieved through minimalist means.
