Selwyn Senatori
wordt geboren op 2 mei 1973 in Pallanze, Italië, en verhuist op jonge leeftijd met zijn ouders naar Nederland. Na het afronden van zijn opleiding aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten In Utrecht stort de kunstenaar zich vol overgave op de schilderkunst. Wie het werk van de kunstenaar aanschouwt ziet overduidelijk dat hij zijn Italiaanse wortels in zijn werk cultiveert. Het ‘Selwyn Senatori-kenmerk’. Het staat voor alles waar de kunstenaar van houdt: zijn kindertijd in Italië, lang tafelen met de familie, lekker eten en de nostalgie van de jaren zestig en het leven in zijn stad; Amsterdam.
