Information about the artist: Sophus Théobald Levinsen (Copenhagen, Denmark, 1 July 1869 – Brussels, 15 April 1943) was a Danish painter known for his paintings of cityscapes and landscapes. -Education: He was a student of the French painter Diogène Maillart (1840-1926). Sophus Levinsen worked primarily in France, including Paris and the region around Martigues. He also lived and worked in Brussels, Belgium, where he died.
