Twee Poolse iconen van de moeder van God. Matka Boska Częstochowska.Het belangrijkste heiligdom van Polen en een van de meest vereerde heiligdommen van Midden-Europa. Vanwege de donkere schaduw is het gezicht ook bekend als de "Zwarte Madonna".
- De grootste icoon heeft verzilverd sierschild ( "oklad" of "riza") met twee vergulde kronen en heel fijne, mooi getailleerde afbeeldingen. Afm.: 15,5x22x2 cm.
- De andere icoon heeft een tinnen sierschild ( "oklad" of "riza"), ook met mooie en fijn gedetailleerde afbeeldingen. Afm.: 11,5x15,5x2 cm.
Beide iconen hebben aan de achterkant een fluwelen bekleding en een oogje om te hangen.
De iconen zijn in goede staat met sommige gebruikssporen en sporen van oudheid.
