Kunstenaar Wilfred Lang komt uit een artistieke familie. Hij is geboren in 1954 in Shanghai, en begon al met schilderen van aquarellen toen hij 7 jaar was. Hij leerde in de loop der jaren van zijn vader alle traditionele schilderstechnieken. Tussen 1972 en 1976 volgde Wilfred zowel de kunstacademie in Shanghai als in Hong Kong. Hier ontwikkelde hij zich tot zijn hedendaagse werk. Vanaf 1977 heeft Wilfred veel gereisd. Hij woonde afwisselend in Hawaï, Barcelona en Amsterdam. Zijn kunst en kunstwerken zijn te zien in Europa, de Verenigde Staten en Azië.
