Brauck (Willem Brauckmann, 1946 geboren te Vlaardingen) begon zijn loopbaan in 1963 met een studie aan de Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten te Rotterdam. Een opleiding die hij, zoals een goed kunstenaar in de zestiger jaren betaamde, niet afmaakte. Na vele jaren actief te zijn in de reclame- en tentoonstellingswereld voelde Brauck er toch meer voor om zich volledig met de kunst bezig te gaan houden.
