This powerful, layered abstract artwork is by the Dutch artist Ageeth Leemkuil. Her work is characterized by her recognizable style in which color, texture, and depth take center stage.
The painting is composed of various planes and geometric elements in a warm, earthy palette of rust brown, ochre, black, and shades of gray. Through the refined use of materials, the surface has acquired a robust, almost industrial texture, with visible reliefs and lines that beautifully catch the light.
The work is signed on the front with the initials.
Thanks to the thickness of the painting of 5-6 cm, the panel stands away from the wall, creating a spatial effect.
