Money, commerce, and American consumer society play a significant role in Andy Warhol's oeuvre. Early in his career, Warhol used images of American dollar bills as subjects for his art. In doing so, money and the symbolism of value became part of his distinctive Pop Art visual language. This signed 2-dollar bill aligns directly with that fascination with money, icons, and American popular culture.

The banknote is professionally framed, floating on white linen, beneath a black linen, acid-free passe-partout in a handmade wooden frame. The frame is fitted with Plexiglas® Optical HC, which is scratch- and UV-resistant. Thanks to the Plexiglas window on the back, the blue Andy Warhol stamp can also be viewed.
Dimensions including frame: approx. 48 × 58 cm.
