Charoy is considered the painter of women, his subjects are mainly female portraits with great stylistic precision and romantic style.
Bernard Charoy is famous for his portraits of women. This delicate, enchanting sentiment also emerges in his poetic landscape work. Charoy began working in 1955 at the Montmartre Studio, where he studied painting and lithography with local artists, painters, and designers. In the 1960s, Charoy accepted commissions from news and magazine agencies to create attractive artwork, particularly for the press. Since the 1970s, Charoy's work has been exhibited worldwide, including in the United States, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, France, and Belgium.
