Colorful abstract ZERO composition by the well-known Utrecht artist Bertus Jonkers, framed in a neat wooden frame. During the auction, this and more work by Bertus can be viewed by appointment in the center of Utrecht.

Jonkers was undoubtedly one of the most intriguing artists in his hometown of Utrecht of the past century. At his home, between 1989 and 1992, Jonkers built a miniature metropolis. Using sand, plaster, glue, and all kinds of small materials, he created miniature buildings and other elements of a city that collectively formed a metropolis. This creative rendition of a metropolis became known as the "Ideal City," but is also known as the "City of Devotion." In 1990, this artwork was exhibited at the Centraal Museum Utrecht, and in 1992, the museum purchased a large part of this miniature construction.

The work of Jonkers is collected by, among others, the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, the Centraal Museum Utrecht, and by private collectors worldwide.

In mid-2016, several etchings by Jonkers were exhibited at the Rembrandt House during the exhibition "In the Spell of Hercules Segers - Rembrandt and the Moderns," a tribute to Hercules Segers (1589/90-1633/40) in collaboration with the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and the Hercules Segers Foundation.
