Style: This type is popular as both a decorative and a playable instrument. Many modern versions come from China and feature exactly these kinds of blue floral patterns.
It is not a real “flute” in the sense of a transverse flute or recorder, but an ocarina (often also called a “porcelain ocarina” or “ceramic ocarina”). This design with blue and white porcelain is often sold as a gift, decoration, or beginner instrument.
You can play it by blowing into the mouthpiece and covering the holes with your fingers. The sound is soft, clear, and a bit flute-like/organic.
