Constantin Meunier - (After): Lithographic print , "Le Puits (Briqueterie)" (Well at the Brickworks)

A lithographic print on cardboard after the work of the Belgian sculptor and painter Constantin Meunier (1831–1905), titled "Le Puits (Briqueterie)" (The Well at the Brickworks). The work depicts two workers on a wooden scaffold at a well or shaft of a brickworks. A typical example of Meunier's focus on the noble labor of the working class.
-Print-signed bottom left.
-Provenance: From an estate. The work was once purchased, framed, from the former art dealer HJG Meerman Jr., Grote Houtstraat 171 Haarlem. The original frame is missing. For protection, the work is now framed in a simple plastic frame with a plexiglass plate (see the last 3 photos).
-Dimensions: Frame, 73 x 53 x 1 cm. Cardboard, 64½ x 50 cm.
Condition: In reasonably good condition with some wear/damage to the paper, particularly on the left edge ('white spots'). Please also see the photos for your own impression.
