Carreno Angel Fermín - Floor lamp - Polyester fiber - Floor lamp Spain - Design - 1980-1990 The handmade vintage design floor lamp in the selected section was designed by artist Carreño Angel Fermín for Kunstatelier La Rocha. The weight of this specific sand/resin lamp is approximately 13 kg. The relatively high weight is mainly due to the sturdy, stepped base made of solid concrete. Model: A striking, tapering pyramid- or column-shaped construction that narrows towards the bottom into a stable, stepped base. Material & Structure Lampshade / Body: Made of high-quality resin (fiberglass) mixed with a fine sand structure. This gives the lamp its characteristic, rough texture and warm, golden appearance. Base: Crafted from solid concrete, ensuring a sturdy center of gravity and an industrial contrast. Lighting & Effect Light source: The lamp features an internal socket (usually suitable for a standard E27 bulb). Light effect: As soon as the lamp is switched on, the resin with sand grains creates an atmospheric, diffused, and warm ambient light. During the day, the lamp functions primarily as an elegant and modern sculptural object in the interior, while in the evening it transforms into a true eye-catcher. Origin & Style Period: Designed and produced in the 1990s (Postmodern design). Style: Organic modernism with a Brutalist or Mediterranean influence, typical of the Spanish art studio.
