Colorful screen print by American artist Donna Corbani. The artwork depicts a stylized and abstract representation of two figures, often described as mermaids or swimming forms, in warm red/pink and purple/blue tones against a blue background. Numbered, number 55 of an edition of 130 copies.

Donna Corbani (Santa Barbara, 1972) is an American-Dutch painter and sculptor. Biography Corbani grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and is the daughter of an inventor and antique dealer. At the age of fourteen, she began taking drawing and painting lessons and moved to New York in 1990 to pursue an art education at Sarah Lawrence College. In New York, she developed her distinctive figures with spiral faces. Donna Corbani is primarily a figurative artist, inspired by Keith Haring and Henri Matisse, among others. Driven by love for a Dutch man and exhibition opportunities, Corbani moved to the Netherlands in 1993. In 1998, she was discovered by Rogier Jonk, art promoter and son of Nic Jonk. He introduced her to the general public by having her lithograph, "Heat Wave," included in the 1999 Airmiles Catalog, followed by traveling exhibitions of Donna Corbani alongside members of the Cobra group.
