Second early composition by Els Amman, darker and more atmospheric in color scheme than her work from 1961. Depicts a figure with a raised hand and a second, dreamy face with an expressive eye, enlivened by a striking yellow patch of light. Signed and dated "els amman 1962" in the lower left. This work also dates from her early, artistically searching period shortly after her time at the academy.
