Porcelain from Hollóháza was produced by the Hollóháza Porcelain Factory, Hungary. The factory was founded in 1777, originally as a glassworks. It is one of the oldest, now state-owned porcelain factories in Hungary.
Endre Szász (“Vallon”) (7 January 1926 – 18 August 2003) was a Hungarian painter, illustrator, graphic artist, printmaker, and ceramic decorator (porcelain painter).
He was a natural artist and drew from a young age. He used oil paint, acrylic, tempera, pencil, ink, charcoal, monotype, drypoint, lithography, etching, and aquatint, and painted on various materials, such as posters and porcelain. Endre studied at the University of Fine Arts in Budapest.
