Lambda print on photographic paper, mounted with special tape in a spotless, acid-free passe-partout. Signed, dated (2010) and numbered (6/15) on both the passe-partout and the back of the photo. In mint condition.

In *Hotel* (2010), Erwin Olaf focuses his lens on loneliness and the silent emotions that surface in spaces of temporary residence. Each photograph shows a solitary figure in a carefully staged hotel room. Objects such as a discarded shoe or a glowing message on a phone hint at stories that remain out of frame. The series captures the stillness of travel and the subtle drama of isolation.

With its soft, cinematic lighting and subdued color palette, inspired by the early sixties, *Hotel* reflects Olaf's growing fascination with storytelling. He says about this: " The older I get, the more I realize that I am influenced more strongly by film than by photography. Although beautiful, grand photographs exist, when going to the cinema you can always imagine your own story. There is more emotion involved. I never cry over a photograph, but I do over a film, music, or literature. I want to achieve that sense of jealousy that this evokes in me in my photography as well. "
