Title: Oil Painting on Canvas – Reclining Female Nude by Frans Siaens (1907-1971)
Description: A beautiful, signed oil painting on canvas from the mid-20th century depicting a three-quarter view of a reclining female nude in an intimate and serene pose. The graceful figure with short hair stands out against a modern background with expressionistic and colorful touches (blue, green, red, purple), lending considerable depth and a modern feel to the scene. The work is signed in the lower left corner by the Belgian artist Frans Siaens (1907-1971), a painter renowned for his highly sensitive portraits, still lifes, and nudes. Artist: Frans Siaens (1907-1971) — Belgian School. Technique: Oil on original canvas mounted on its original wooden stretcher. Condition: The canvas and stretcher are in very good overall condition. The canvas tension is good. The original label of the prestigious "Huis Vyncke - Boercheroot" gallery is affixed to the back of the painting on the left side of the original frame.
Frame: Superb and substantial classic molded frame in carved wood in the Louis XV style, patinated in shades of cream and aged ivory. Ready to hang.
