Frans van Noorden – Blind George. Exciting, atmospheric illustration in ink and watercolor on paper. A man with a flashlight walks along a dark forest path, while an armed figure hides among the bushes. The warm light contrasts beautifully with the dark silhouettes, giving the scene a mysterious atmosphere. Signed with a monogram in the lower right corner. At the bottom are the pencil notes 'Blinde Joris' and 'Morgenrood XIII', presumably a reference to the Morgenrood reading book series for which Van Noorden provided illustrations.
