Beautiful and typical work by Gerard Pieter Adolfs (1897-1968)
Gerard Pieter Adolfs (born January 2, 1897, in Semarang, Central Java; died February 1, 1968, in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands) was a Dutch-Indonesian painter and architect. In the 1930s—at the height of his artistic career—the press called G.P. Adolfs the "Magician of Light."
Very beautiful colours and painted with great atmosphere.
