Gerard Boersma is known for his paintings of people looking at famous paintings in museums. This 30 x 30 cm work depicts a woman enjoying a painting by Richard Diebenkorn.
Diebenkorn’s *Ocean Park* series is a famous series of 145 abstract paintings, named after the coastal neighborhood in Santa Monica, California, where he had his studio. These masterpieces, which he began in 1967, combine precise geometry and color to capture the brilliant coastal light, the misty atmosphere, and the vast landscape of California, without ever literally depicting them.
The work dates from 2026 and is made with acrylic on panel (MDF). Signed on the back. The painting features an artist's label and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
