ABC anniversary sign
Special pressed glass bowl, released in 1957 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Algemene Bedrijfsgroepen Centrale (ABC). Designed by GJ Thomassen, manufactured by Glasfabriek Leerdam (Occasion Glass Department). The relief in the glass is truly a work of art: symbols for the affiliated industries. Ears of corn, a barber's motif, chemical flasks, a windmill, and more. The text "ABC" and "50" in the center. That combination of geometric, stylized forms gives it a truly 1950s Art Deco look.
