This impressive landscape by the Drenthe artist Gerard van de Weerd was donated to the dialysis department of the hospital in Meppel around 2010. Although the work is highly appreciated, it does not fit within the hospital's current art collection. Therefore, it has been decided to auction the painting.
In this way, the work gets the chance in a place where it comes into its own. The beauty of it is that the proceeds are not lost: the entire proceeds are spent on facilities and activities for our patients. With the sale, the idea behind the original donation is preserved. The artwork continues to contribute to the well-being of patients, albeit in a different way.
A special destination for a special work of art.
Due to the size (300x100cm), to be picked up by the buyer exclusively in the Meppel area.
