His daily work consists primarily of etching and creating illustrations. He exhibits regularly. As an illustrator, he collaborated on a book about pen and ink drawings, and he created watercolors for a book about the Drenthe landscape. His work is held by the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, the Rijksprentenkabinet in Amsterdam, and the Drents Museum in Assen. He recently received a royal commission as part of the Peace of Münster. In January 2002, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam acquired 21 of his prints.
