- Harm de Noord emphasizes the topographical aspect of the landscape. On his canvases, overlapping planes of color emerge in relief, where refined shading enhances the optical effect. After training at the art academy in Enschede, Harm worked as a teacher at various secondary schools, art centers, and schools for arts education alongside his artistic career. Harm is a passionate teacher and has been giving private painting courses at home for over 30 years. Harm de Noord creates drawings in mixed media and three-dimensional works using cardboard, metal, and acrylic paint. He also works with oil paint. Visual artist Harm de Noord has lived and worked in Drenthe for many years. (Source: harmdenoord.nl)
