This lithograph is part of a set of works remained unpublished at the artist’s death. These works were published in the tribute number of Verve 35/36 in 1956. The Matisse estate took the initiative to publish high quality lithographic reproductions of the finest works of this series, they all bear the stamp of the Succession Matisse.
