“Herman Brood – Screen Print " Shall I remove the price tag?”
Signed, edition 200/300
*Shall I Take the Price Off* is a hand-signed screen print by Herman Brood. Work dimensions: H. 38 x W. 48 cm. Framed H. 53 x W. 63 cm. The signature is somewhat difficult to see, but it is there. Herman Brood (1946-2001) was a born artist in every sense of the word: in his music, poems, and especially his paintings and screen prints. Brood worked with complete dedication, throwing himself time and again with brushes, paint, and spray cans into a hallucinatory adventure from which he invariably emerged as the winner. His work speaks of an enormous drive which, thanks to his perfect mastery of technique, he managed to brilliantly translate into form and color. The great interest in his work was a tremendous stimulus for Herman Brood.
