The photos of the work were taken through the glass. There may be some reflections. Herman Brood (1946-2001) was a born artist in every respect: in his music, poems, and especially his paintings and screen prints. Brood worked with complete dedication, throwing himself time and again with brushes, paint, and spray cans into a hallucinatory adventure from which he invariably emerged as the winner. His work speaks of an enormous drive which, thanks to his perfect mastery of technique, he managed to brilliantly translate into form and color. The great interest in his work was a tremendous stimulus for Herman Brood.
