This small format ukiyo-e is a woodblock reprint of no. 103, Eitaibashi Giwa Nihon Ginko no Yuki (永代橋際日本銀行の雪/Snow on the Bank of Japan near the Eitaibashi Bridge), from the Tokyo Shinga Meisho Zukai series by Inoue Yasuji (井上安治), also known as Tankei (探景).

It was created by the renowned Meiji artist Inoue Yasuji (1864–1889) around 1881–1882 as part of his series "Tokyo Shinga Meisho Zukai" (True Images of Famous Places in Tokyo). Although he lived to be only 25 years old, he left behind an impressive and celebrated body of work.
Yasuji was known for his ability to beautifully capture the modernization of Tokyo during the Meiji period, often influenced by Western perspective techniques and lighting.

Condition
ConditionVery good
The condition of the print is excellent to near mint. The colors are fresh and intense. There is no visible fading due to sunlight, which often occurs with this specific print regarding the red buildings and the gray sky. The paper is free of stains. There are no traces of age spots (foxing), water damage, or glue residue. The margins are completely intact and clean. The print has not been trimmed to fit a smaller frame. No creases or tears are visible. Because the print has been kept safely in the original presentation folder, the paper has remained perfectly flat.
